63 Worcester Road after the bombing

A Drummond family home, 63 Worcester Road, Bootle, was hit by a German bomb in the small hours of 22 September 1940. John’s grandmother, Mary Drummond, and his auntie Edith Drummond were killed where they slept. The house was never rebuilt.
