John Drummond’s crash site
According to Michael Robinson’s excellent book Best of The Few, John’s Spitfire crashed on a flintstone wall that bordered Jubilee Field and St Mary’s Convent.
This photograph was taken from inside the Convent grounds looking towards where Jubilee Field was. Easthill Drive was built on Jubilee Field. The flint wall that remains is the original one.
